Important Information on EU Regulation of CI 77820 Pigment

We would like to inform our Partners and Customers that the European Union, under EU Regulation 2026/78, will restrict the use of CI 77820 pigment in nail cosmetic products from May 1, 2026.

The reason for this regulation is that the ingredient in question has been classified as CMR Category 2, and therefore its use is subject to restrictions within the European Union under the new provisions.

What does this mean for customers?

The purpose of this legislation is to further strengthen consumer safety and to ensure stricter control of cosmetic product ingredients. The change will take effect on May 1, 2026, by which time manufacturers and distributors must ensure compliance with the new requirements.
