A slight rubbery smell is characteristic of gel polish, which disappears after drying and is not harmful. If the surface is bubbly or grainy, you may have applied it too quickly or incorrectly. You can avoid wrinkles if you thoroughly clean the surface of the nail, make sure that the layer is not too thick, and do not remove it from the lamp before drying.
